NOTE: The specifications are for reference, the Tapered Floating Hoses can be customized according to the client’s requests.
Introduction
Tapered floating hose includes Hose A and Hose B. Hose A is that one end has buoyancy and the other has no buoyancy. The buoyancy end is connected to quick coupling. And the non-buoyancy end is connected to hose B. Hose B is directly connected to normal floating hoses. Hose A can replace the dredge ball joint. Tapered floating hose and normal floating hoses can form a tapered floating pipeline.
Applications
Tapered floating hose is used in THSD Dredging Project, with dredgers for silt/gravel conveyance. The suitable transmission medium is usually mud, clay, fine sand, fine-mid sand, and so on. The suitable working temperature is from -20°C to +50°C.
This type of hose is suitable for dredging pipelines under impact from huge sea waves for its lower barycentre, high capability of impact resistance, less specific gravity, reasonable configuration, easy and convenient installation, and transportation.
Structure:
Tapered floating hoses are available as mainline, specially reinforced mooring, a tapered connecting hose, and other designs.
1. Consist of an inner discharge hose with build-in steel nipples.
2. A floatation body made out of a closed-cell PU foam will be built around the entire hose.
3. The floating body is covered by a reinforced rubber shell suitable to withstand severe sea conditions as well as handling influences.
Maintenance:
Store in a cool and ventilated place when not use it, do not expose to the sun for a long time, to extend the service life.
Differences for dredge tapered floating hose and ordinary dredge floating discharge hose:
Dredge tapered floating hose with the basic functions of ordinary discharge hose, such as wear resistance, flex-resistant, withstand the working pressure and etc.
When the trailing suction hopper dredger discharges the mud, it is connected with the hose of the dredge tapered floating hose.
After discharging, the hose must be unloaded before entering the operation site for dredging.
At this time, the joint at the end of the pipeline shall be partially floating, otherwise, it is not easy to be fished out, and it is not easy to be connected to the outlet of the dredger.
Its first and second sections pipes must have good bending performance, to complete the smooth transition between the rigid outlet pipe of the dredger and the flexible pipe of the main pipe.
Dredge tapered floating hose is separated from the dredger in the non-working state; when it is working, it is lifted by the dredger and then connected to the discharge pipe of the dredger.
In the process of connection, the whole hose is dragged.
Therefore, each section of the hose, especially the first several sections, must be able to withstand bear certain tensile force.
