Orion Marine Group Awards $23 Million Contract

Orion Marine Group, as the Heavy Civil Marine Construction segment of Orion Group Holdings, Inc., was recently awarded a $23.3 million contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast (NAVFAC).

Orion Group Holdings, Inc., a leading specialty construction company, provides services both on and off the water in the continental United States, Alaska, Canada, and the Caribbean Basin through its heavy civil marine construction segment and its commercial concrete segment. The Company’s heavy civil marine construction segment services include marine transportation facility construction, marine pipeline construction, marine environmental structures, dredging of waterways, channels and ports, environmental dredging, design, and specialty services. Its commercial concrete segment provides turnkey concrete construction services including pour and finish, dirt work, layout, forming, rebar, and mesh across the light commercial, structural, and other associated business areas.

The project provides for reconstruction of berthing wharfs B-1, B-2, and B-3 on Wharf Bravo at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida. The project is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2016, with a duration of approximately 11 months.
