At present, the joint venture of CNNC is carrying out land reclamation in the third phase of the Laem Chabang Port project in Thailand, which is expected to be completed in June this year.
After the verification of the land, the next step will be the construction of the terminal and infrastructure. In infrastructure, berths and road facilities projects, China Harbour Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid. They will bring their high level of expertise to assist the Thai Ports Authority in completing this project.
The Laem Chabang Port project is a public-private joint venture aimed at expanding the port’s capacity from 11 million containers to 18 million.
In the face of the current logistics tensions in the world, the expansion of the port may be able to bring some help to the local economic growth.
