On May 19, the WODCON XXIII was successfully concluded in Copenhagen, Denmark. The conference lasted 3 days and was hosted by the World Organization of Dredging Associations (WODA) and the Central Dredging Association (CEDA).

At the opening ceremony on the 17th, Danish Minister of Transport Trine Bramsen delivered an opening speech entitled “Dredging is changing”. Relevant personnel from major dredging companies in the world delivered keynote speeches and exchanged papers on sustainable development of dredging, renewable energy, dredging equipment, deep sea mining.

After completing all the agendas of the meeting in three days, the WODCON XXIII was successfully concluded. The release of the most important achievement of the conference – “WODCON XXIII – Consensus on the Decarbonization of Dredging Industry and Marine Construction” push the conference to climax.

The conference brought together industry elites, experts and scholars from more than 10 countries and regions to discuss major topics such as sustainable development of the dredging industry, and comprehensively reflected the latest achievements and progress in the exploration, innovation and practice of the world dredging industry in the past three years. It has also played an important leading role in the transformation and development of the dredging industry. It is hoped that through this dredging conference, the coordination and cooperation of the international dredging family can be further enhanced, and the technological innovation and development progress of the dredging industry can be continuously promoted.
